EducationI graduated Distinguished from Poolville High School in 2006. I obtained an Associate's of Art in General Studies from Weatherford College in 2008. I received a Bachelor's degree in 2011 from Tarleton State University with major in Horticulture Science and minor Integrated Pest Management summa cum laude. I am currently attending TSU graduate school studying biology.
ExperienceI help raise an 11-year-old boy. I often help him with his schoolwork. For my Bachelor's, I made straight A's with a full time course load. These classes included Horticulture, Entomology, Agriculture, College Chemistry, and Technical Writing.
I really enjoy helping people learn. I know it can be hard to not understand or have trouble with what you are learning in school. Everyone can use a little push sometimes.
I believe young people are very important because they are the future. Sometimes I am disappointed with the education in this state. I believe all children deserve the same opportunity to learn. I believe small groups are a great way to help students study and learn. I look forward to tutoring your student!
HobbiesI am a horticulture major. I love gardening. I really love the outdoors. I often go hiking and camping. I love photography. I also love to draw. Art is a passion of mine, and I encourage artistic abilities in children. I love acting. I was in one act play all through high school and participated in fine arts at Weatherford College while I attended. I also worked for the fine arts department, and was very involved with all their activities. I like to learn entomology. It is very interesting and comes naturally. I find science very interesting. I made an A in my first chemistry class at TSU. I taught myself the entire semester, because my teacher was very hard to follow. I plan to be a research chemist for the advancement of horticulture/agriculture/entomology. I love to write and read. There are so many possibilities with both.
I also love music. Music is very powerful, and can be a great inspiration, or a great artistic outlet.
In my free time, sometimes I try to skateboard. I'm not very good, but I know there is always room for anyone to learn anything! I also spend some time on the computer and playing video games. I know these things are really fun in moderation.
